Life Purpose

Ponder this. Adding a drop of water to a mostly filled glass of water would not make a noticeable difference. However, adding a drop of arsenic to the same glass of water could be deadly. Likewise, how is it that one person can change the world and another make no noticeable difference?

Ponder this. We have all heard the well-known verse from sacred scripture: I'm the way, the truth, and the life. Most of us understand the Lord's way, which is the way of the cross, and the Lord's truth, because the Lord is truth Himself.

Ponder this. Do you ever think about what will happen to you after you leave this world? You know, after you die? Many of us don't want to think about this, and sometimes we think that dying is for others and not for us. 

Ponder this. Every country, state, and city has a border. These borders exist to define the country's language and culture, currency and commerce, and its laws and regulations.

Ponder this. Part of the pre-flight instructions given by a flight attendant is to place the oxygen mask on yourself first before helping others in the event of the loss of cabin pressure.

Ponder this. Do you have a bucket list? You know, a list of things you want to do or accomplish before you die?

Ponder this. You were chosen for this moment in history to make a difference in the world. That's right. God chose you to be born at this time for a very special mission that only you can fulfill.

Ponder this. Imagine for a moment that you have just met with your doctor, who informs you that you have a terminal illness.

Ponder this. Have you noticed that the passage of time speeds up as we age? When we are young and have our whole life ahead of us, time seems to move slowly.

Ponder this. A dear friend of mine lived a long life, reaching nearly 90 years of age. He was an engineer who loved his profession and worked up until the day he died.

Ponder this. The passage of time. This phrase has been the popular subject of one of our political leaders, and what a profound phrase it is.
