True Freedom

Ponder this. How many times have you heard that freedom means doing whatever you want as long as we don't hurt anyone else? On its face, this sounds pretty reasonable, but when you think about it, everything you do has an impact on someone or something.
Let's say we overindulge in drinking. The immediate impact may be that we cannot get to work on time the next morning, or even at all.
Let's say we eat whatever we want, whenever we want. When health problems ensue later in life, your family, your friends, and your community may be impacted.
For every action there is a reaction, and this is Newton's law of physics. But it applies to our spiritual life as well. Being truly free means doing God's will in every decision that we make. This means we must know God's will by following His commandments and talking with Him in our daily life.
Pray, trust, and persevere in following God's will for you every day.
