169 - The Spiritual Long Game

Ponder this. Do you ever stop and think about why you are here on this earth? Let's face it, each day we go about our routines, rarely stopping to think about what our purpose is for that day, let alone our entire life. Some of us have great jobs and a loving family, which makes our daily purpose more defined.

But life is all about the long game—living for something greater than the day-to-day. The long game requires you to think about the end results. For example, instead of staying up late to watch a movie, you retire early to get needed rest. Or you choose a healthy meal instead of that juicy burger and fries.

Of course, there is a spiritual long game that many do not think about. But should this particular effort require a daily commitment to your spiritual health, it will lead you to a peaceful heart and a life with purpose. The spiritual long game requires you to include God in your day through prayer and obedience to all He asks of you.

The spiritual long game, you must be in it to win it.
