The Narrow Gates
Updated: 5 hours ago

Ponder this. I once had the honor of touring a submarine. To climb on board, there is a long and narrow entry hatch, with stairs that go straight down. Narrow walkways and small sleeping quarters are the norm. I'm going out on a limb here, but my guess is that there are personal physical requirements for those serving aboard this vessel. Husky-framed individuals may need to find a different career path to serve our country.
It seems the Lord, too, has a narrow entryway to enter His living quarters. He tells us that narrow is the entry gate that leads to heaven. He also says that few go there. What? Few go there? From what we always hear, when we die, we will be in a better place. But if only a few get past this narrow entryway, where do the many go?
Let me leave you with this. It's really hot, and it won't be a tropical vacation. Follow the narrow path that leads to heaven by following the Lord and the teachings of His Church.
