176 Start Your Day

Ponder this. One of the things we take for granted is simply waking up. It's a great gift to be given another day to live, to make a difference in this world, and to praise God. Unfortunately, most of us start our day by complaining, which, by the way, is a sin. We silently complain about how tired we are, how we don't want to get out of bed, and about the many daunting and mundane tasks that may be before us this day.

This way of starting the day establishes a path of negativity and disappointment, which usually leads to a self-fulfilling prophecy.

How do you break this habit, you might ask? Here is a simple remedy that will change your day and your life.

First, before your feet hit the ground, get on your knees and thank the Lord for giving you another day to serve Him.

Next, ask the Lord to help you accomplish everything He has planned for you.

Finally, ask the Lord to protect you from all evil and from sin.

And that's it. Now, get moving.
