Ponder this. Today is a brand new day. What are you going to do with it? Most of us have a daily routine that we go through without much thought. We wake up and brush our teeth (hopefully), have some coffee, and then we go to work or school or maybe stay home and take care of our kids.

In all that you are doing throughout the day, have you planned to take time to serve the Lord? You may be asking how you could possibly serve the Lord as you're driving down the road to work, sitting at your desk, or working in your home. So how can you begin today to serve God in your routine, often mundane life?

First, say a prayer and ask the Lord to help you serve Him better. Next, look for ways to help others. If you're driving down the road, be a courteous driver and allow others room to move into your lane—and maybe even give them a friendly wave. If you're at work, give a co-worker a hand. Even a simple smile will help brighten the day for others.

There are many small ways to help others throughout our day, and when we serve others, we serve God and we please Him. Bring joy to each day by being kind to others.
