Our Spiritual Oxygen

Ponder this. We intake oxygen every time we breathe, and breathing is how we stay alive. When God first created man, He breathed life into him. Our Lord also breathed spiritual life into His apostles and filled them with the Holy Spirit at the first Pentecost.
Oxygen is a source of life both physically and spiritually. It's the same with fire. Oxygen is needed in order to keep a fire burning, which begs the question: are you on fire for the Lord or has your spiritual oxygen been extinguished?
To answer this, we must go to the source. The source of our spiritual oxygen is the Lord Himself. Without Him, there is no life within us. Those are His words, not mine.
We are called to tap into this life source by baptism, daily prayer, and receiving the sacraments, especially Holy Communion if you are a Catholic in the state of grace. If we tap into this life source every day, our lives will be filled with the love of the Lord, our spiritual oxygen.
