Ponder this. Motherhood. I come from a generation of women who were sold a bill of goods: that we could bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan, and still take care of our man. Women were encouraged to take freedom to a new level, freeing themselves of many actions that were previously taboo. Caution was definitely thrown to the wind. Family, fidelity, and children took a backseat to personal freedom.
So how has this worked out for women, families, and our culture? Well, women have definitely excelled in the business world, but with a devastating blow to our families and to our culture. Half of all marriages end in divorce. Children are raised in broken homes. Anxiety and depression are rampant among children and adults.
What are we to do? First, turn to God for guidance. Get on your knees each day and ask the Lord for help. Go to church, follow the commandments, develop virtue such as humility, generosity, and chastity.
