Ponder this. We are told in Sacred Scripture that we must imitate Christ, even to be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect. This is bold, and it seems quite an impossible task. After all, "nobody's perfect," as the saying goes. If it is true that nobody's perfect, are we being called to do the impossible?
Well, thankfully, the Bible also says that all things are possible with God. So, in order to achieve any level of perfection, it requires our cooperation with God. The Lord must become a central part of our lives for us to imitate Him and for each of us to grow in perfection.
So where do we start on this road to perfection? The answer is simple: begin each day by asking the Lord, in all sincerity, to make you a better person, and then begin imitating Him. Remember, our God—our Lord—is a God of order. Begin each day very orderly, and make your bed. It will become an action that is a reminder to imitate Christ in every small detail of your day.
