34 - Gods Language

Ponder this. In America, we speak English. It's our native tongue. If we travel to foreign countries, unless we speak a common language, it may be very difficult to communicate. Knowing the language of others is important when trying to convey information or even to have a casual conversation. People understand each other best when communicating in a common language. Just like the language of each country, did you know that God has a specific language as well? You may not understand God's voice unless you are familiar with His native tongue.

The language of God is silence. That's right, silence. And He hears us in the silence of our hearts. If you want to communicate with God and learn to understand His will for you, enter the classroom of silence each day. God is available 24 hours each day. Often His Holy Spirit might even wake you in the silence of the night and say to you, "It was a busy day and we didn't get a chance to talk. It's quiet now, and I'm here for you."

Find time each day for silence, for prayer — even if it's in the middle of the night.
