Give To God Your Work

Ponder this: Do you enjoy the work you do each day? Some of us love our jobs. Others, well, not so much. Whether you are a person who teaches school, digs ditches, or runs a Fortune 500 company, the work we do has dignity. All of it.
You see, Jesus Christ grew up in a relatively normal household. His mother, Mary, cared for the home, and His earthly father, Joseph, worked as a carpenter.
There was nothing particularly exceptional about their daily home life. This model Holy Family performed all work with love, knowing they were doing the will of God each day.
Doing routine tasks, like caring for your family and doing domestic chores, is particularly virtuous if done with love and joy. To accomplish every task assigned to you to the very best of your ability pleases the Lord.
The Lord does not need you to bring home a big paycheck, climb the ladder of success, or have a stellar résumé. He just wants you to love Him, love your family, and love your neighbor.
Give to God your work. It is a great way to praise Him.
