Extend Common Courtesy

Ponder this. Do you often get disappointed by the actions or inactions of others? Perhaps you expected a person to hold a door or an elevator for you, but they pretended they didn't see you. Or maybe you expected to easily change lanes on the interstate, having plenty of room to do so, only to realize that a car was racing not to let you in. Have people in your household left a mess behind, leaving it for others to deal with?
Often, people disappoint us, particularly when it comes to common courtesy. How should we handle these moments? Handle them with uncommon courtesy. Say a quick prayer for those who leave you stranded at the door or disappointed on the highway. Remind those in your household how to extend common courtesy to others and how to become aware of the needs of those around them. Avoid anger and resentment. Instead, say a short prayer for them to become a better version of themselves.
