Ponder this. Remember Linus, the Peanuts character who always carried his trusty security blanket? Linus' blanket provided him with comfort and a sense of safety. He carried it with him constantly.
Like Linus, we all need to feel safe and secure in our daily life. We need to be able to live a life without fear. Many of us turn to drugs and alcohol to dull our sense of fear. Some of us turn to our electronic devices to provide a way to distract us from the craziness in this world. And some of us turn to food and unhealthy relationships to provide comfort and consolation.
The truth is, we will never find complete peace and joy amid the trials of life without going to the source of life: God the Father, through His Son Jesus. The path to peace of mind can be found, as Jesus Himself said: “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.”
It is through Him that you can find true peace, a peace that the world can never give. Go to Jesus today, and simply ask Him to give you the peace that only He can give.
