119 - Attitude of Gratitude

Ponder this. We complain about many things each day. Simple inconveniences often rattle us. Whether we have a slow computer, we are stuck in traffic, or have to wait in a slow line for fast food, our impatience takes over and the complaining begins.

We have so many opportunities each day to be annoyed. These are first-world problems. Imagine living in a part of the world where there are real life-and-death issues every day. From war zones to religious persecution, from lack of food and water to unsanitary living conditions. These are real issues facing many in our world.

Helping solve these problems rests on all of us by the means we have been given by God. There's so much we can do each day. First, accept all annoyances and inconveniences without complaining. Next, resolve not to waste food, natural resources, and time. Finally, help those around you in need—whether in your family, at work, or those who you encounter each day. Assist them as you can. Share the goodness of God with others with an attitude of gratitude.
