Ponder this. It's amazing how many of us choose to go about our daily life without recognizing others who cross our paths each day.
Take, for example, your morning walk, run, or workout at the gym. As we encounter others, often we don't make eye contact, let alone smile or greet each other. Listening to music or a podcast with our earbuds is so much more preferable than having to greet others we encounter. As a result, people are becoming more and more disconnected from each other.
So let's start a human connection trend. Here's an experiment for you to try: Put your phone and earbuds away for a day while in public. Try to engage others in your path with a simple smile and a kind hello.
These simple gestures will become a powerful force in the world. A smile costs nothing, but can be a powerful tool to brighten the day for others. Let your smile be a light for all to see. It's a gesture of love from the Lord.
