The Story of Christmas

Ponder this. Pause for a moment, and let's consider how Christmas came about. Whether or not you are a Christian, this is an amazing story.
In the beginning of time, God created man out of pure love. Like all lovers, God just wanted us to love Him back. But we told God, “No thanks. We want to enjoy the paradise You created on our own terms.” Because of our pride, we separated ourselves from God, bringing death into the world.
And so begins our Christmas story and our need to be reunited with God so that we may enjoy eternal life. God’s plan was to bring us back to Him, just like any two lovers who have been separated. We call this God’s plan of salvation. Simply put, it's the path God created for our reunion with Him for all of eternity.
And so, God came into this world as an infant, born of a virgin—our heavenly mother, Mary. Jesus, God becoming man, entered the world through the sacred womb of Mary. The day Jesus was born is called Christmas.
