Let the Son Shine In

Ponder this. We all know that the Earth revolves around the sun each day. The portion of the Earth that faces the sun experiences its light. When the Earth rotates away from the sun, darkness ensues—and so it is: day and night, light and darkness.
Much like the Earth’s relationship with the sun, our relationship with the Lord can be as bright as the sun, as long as we are facing Him. When we sin, however, we turn away from God, away from the Light. Many of us live in the darkness because we sin and do not seek the Lord’s forgiveness. Like the Earth rotating away from the sun, turning away from God deprives us of His light.
The good news is, like the sun, God’s love for us is constant. He wants us all to feel His love and seek His mercy. In fact, there’s nothing we can do that will change God’s love for us. Our response to His love determines whether we live in His light.
As constant as the sun, so is God’s love for us.
