Ponderful Moments Holiness In, Holiness Out Blog Image

52 - Holiness In, Holiness Out

Ponder this. Most of us have heard the saying, "Garbage in, garbage out." Usually, the saying is applied to information being put into a computer system, but it has other appropriate applications.

For example, if we listen to music or watch videos that contain immoral content, we may set ourselves up for modeling that sinful behavior. Garbage in, garbage out. Maybe we watch movies or play computer games that contain violence, obscene language, or immoral sexual behavior. Again, if we allow garbage into our lives, we may become a receptacle for sin.

The Evil One craves the destruction of our souls. Resist garbage in to avoid garbage out. Seek virtuous activities that promote holiness. Holiness in, holiness out. We are called to be salt and light to the world. Seeking a pure and moral life will bring us closer to Jesus and is a path to holiness. We are called to avoid all influences that may lead us to spiritual destruction.
